About the role

The Food Service Worker - Hillcrest provides table service to residents by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that residents have a pleasant dining experience.
This role assists with the day to day dietary needs of the residents related to their personalized care plan.
Assists residents with care in transfers and attendance at meals, activities and appointments.

Maintains a clean, sanitized and attractive work area, small wares storage area, dining room.
Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area, washing/preparing silverware and set up, stocks and maintains resident coffee area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Stocks and maintains par levels of food and non-food items.
Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment

ServSafe required within 2 months of hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 year of caregiver or aide in a ALF, LTC, SNF or hospital experience
Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: 1 year of caregiver or aide in a ALF, LTC, SNF or hospital experience
