- As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will apply strong technical skills and sound judgment to solve complex manufacturing problems.
Responsibilities
- Direct the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for your assigned area
- Analyze and implement product and equipment designs to determine optimal manufacturing methods
- Propose, justify, and implement process and equipment solutions for assigned operations
- Interpret product math data and specifications to develop the tools, fixtures, and equipment needed to support production
- Review and approve process, tool, and equipment designs
- release tools to appropriate build sources and oversee build, tryout, and installation
- Develop and maintain clear, accurate build process documentation for use on the shop floor
- Collaborate with product and design engineering to assess and enhance manufacturing feasibility of new or revised designs
- Provide technical direction and support to operations, maintenance, skilled trades, and external tool/design/build suppliers
- Lead or provide occasional oversight to other engineers or technical support personnel to achieve project and departmental objectives
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes
- Experience with automotive assembly processes and related tools and equipment
- Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences
- High level of interpersonal skills and proven success working in cross‑functional team environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, exercising sound judgment, creativity, and initiative
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
