Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support timely and accurate general ledger close processes.
  • Perform monthly G/L account reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and internal analysis for Corporate functions.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries and provide analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and find opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting timelines.
  • Provide hands on assistance to the internal and external auditors, including the collection and analysis of financial information and supporting documents requested by the auditors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Requirements

  • University degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with systems such as Oracle Financials, Hyperion, SmartView, or Essbase is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles.
  • Flexibility required, including occasional overtime during peak periods.
  • Final candidates for this position may be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check.
