About the role
- We're looking for a Tax Manager, Direct Tax & Strategic Projects to join our growing tax team.
- In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Tax Manager in a lean, collaborative environment, supporting day-to-day direct tax matters while also helping the business navigate new structures, products, and market expansion decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support high-impact tax projects tied to business growth, new structures, market expansion, and other strategic initiatives.
- Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, external tax advisors, and other finance stakeholders to provide practical, business-oriented tax support.
- Help evaluate and implement tax considerations related to international expansion, and evolving business needs.
- Drive process improvements that strengthen how the tax function supports the business and scales with company growth.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and help the tax team respond quickly and thoughtfully to complex, high-priority matters.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain tax issues clearly to cross-functional partners.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage priorities independently in a lean, fast-moving environment.
- You'll have the chance to build broad in-house experience, contribute to high-impact projects, and help strengthen Oura's tax function as the company continues to scale globally.

Requirements
- We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
Nice to have
- 7+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and in-house exposure.
- Strong direct tax knowledge, including federal and state corporate income tax compliance and provision work.
- Familiarity with international tax concepts and the tax implications of operating across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting strategic tax matters, process improvements, or special projects beyond standard compliance work.
