About the role

We're looking for a Tax Manager, Direct Tax & Strategic Projects to join our growing tax team.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Tax Manager in a lean, collaborative environment, supporting day-to-day direct tax matters while also helping the business navigate new structures, products, and market expansion decisions.

Support high-impact tax projects tied to business growth, new structures, market expansion, and other strategic initiatives.
Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, external tax advisors, and other finance stakeholders to provide practical, business-oriented tax support.
Help evaluate and implement tax considerations related to international expansion, and evolving business needs.
Drive process improvements that strengthen how the tax function supports the business and scales with company growth.
Build strong cross-functional relationships and help the tax team respond quickly and thoughtfully to complex, high-priority matters.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain tax issues clearly to cross-functional partners.
A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage priorities independently in a lean, fast-moving environment.
You'll have the chance to build broad in-house experience, contribute to high-impact projects, and help strengthen Oura's tax function as the company continues to scale globally.

7+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and in-house exposure.
Strong direct tax knowledge, including federal and state corporate income tax compliance and provision work.
Familiarity with international tax concepts and the tax implications of operating across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience supporting strategic tax matters, process improvements, or special projects beyond standard compliance work.
