About the role

  • The successful candidate will also work to ensure that all didactic and clinical experiences, clinical lab, and simulation activities reflect Loyola's Jesuit values and commitment to cura personalis -care for the whole person.
  • This program uniquely integrates an exceptional liberal arts foundation with a holistic nursing education rooted in the Jesuit tradition of care and social justice.
  • Students begin nursing coursework in their first semester and begin their e ducation in direct patient care in the second year.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborate environment to educat e students using competency - based strategies both across the curriculum and in simulation pedagogy.

Requirements

  • Candidates whose highest nursing degree is an MSN must also hold an earned doctoral degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland or current licensure in another state with the ability to obtain Maryland RN licensure;
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical skills and simulation instruction;
  • Evidence of teaching, curriculum development experience with knowledge of outcomes assessment and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes;
  • Ability to integrate simulation and skills development throughout the curriculum to foster clinical reasoning, safety, and interprofessional collaboration;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across faculty and administrative teams;
  • Proficiency with simulation management systems (e.g., Laerdal SimCapture ) or willingness to develop expertise;
  • Experience with or interest in CCNE accreditation, and other regulatory compliance processes;
  • This po sition involves teaching both didactic and clinical courses in our innovative, mission-forward Bachelor of Science of Nursing Program, launched in 2025.
  • Required Qualifications:

Nice to have

  • Experience teaching in prelicensure BSN programs.
  • Experience with AACN Essentials (202 6 ), CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Gradu ate Nursing Programs (2024) and nursing program assessment processes.
  • Successful candidates for any staff, faculty, or administrative position at Loyola University Maryland will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
