About the role
- Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device.
- The platforms in our Engineering Acceleration org dictate how thousands of Roblox engineers ship, and how every backend service gets built, deployed, and kept reliable at scale.
- They sit on the critical path for production reliability, developer velocity, and security posture.
Responsibilities
- Reimagine the engineering toolchain as agentic-native, designing the platforms, guardrails, and feedback loops that let AI agents safely drive migrations, validation, and routine operational work.
- Drive down operational toil through automation, transforming manual, repeat work like patching and large-scale migrations into self-serve or agent-driven workflows.
- Own and drive the roadmap, aligning cross-pod plans and execution against company goals for safe rollouts.
- For US based roles only, please note the Company may not be able to employ candidates for this role who have United States work authorization related to certain U.S. visa categories, or support future H-1B sponsorship at this time.
- Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences- all created by our global community of developers and creators.
- At Roblox, we're building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life.
- A career at Roblox means you'll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.
Nice to have

- (Preferred) Backend proficiency in C# and/or Go, and familiarity with Kubernetes/Nomad (Hashistack), Temporal, and AWS.
- (Preferred) Hands-on experience applying AI/agents to engineering workflows, with a background in safe/staged rollouts (canary, feature flags) and incident prevention/automated verification.
