Lead and support refinery process safety programs, providing technical safety and engineering expertise across PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, MAH, and Management of Change (MOC).
Drive continuous improvement of process safety systems, workflows, and assurance mechanisms to ensure consistent and effective implementation.
Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analyses, identifying lessons learned and preventing recurrence of major incidents.
Partner with site leadership and HSE leadership to identify and mitigate key risks, advance safety systems, and set, measure, and analyze occupational and process safety performance goals.
Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead the process safety initiatives to support a zero-harm work environment by mitigating risk and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to address process safety issues at our Superior, WI refinery.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry, Science, or Safety/Environmental Discipline
12+ years' experience in process engineering, technical safety, or process safety engineering in oil and gas or chemicals
Demonstrated experience in facilitating MOC, HAZOP/PHA, and LOPA
Experience in contractor safety, auditing, and emergency response
