About the role
- Identify opportunities to improve cell performance.
- Uses quality assurance principles such as statistical sampling, frequency distribution and control charts.
Responsibilities
- Performs first piece inspection on all machines in the commercial and residential product areas.
- Performs in-process inspections on a routine audit basis to assure that parts are being machined properly, that components are correctly assembled, and that the completed products are properly tested to established testing procedures.
- Performs finished product inspections to assure that the product conforms to specifications in terms of painting, packaging and markings.
- Retrieves and inputs data into quality management system (ETQ) or spreadsheets and maintains organized files of all inspections and records.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
- Perform daily audits of all cells and fill out associated paperwork to document checks.
- Perform final inspection of commercial pump finished goods to ensure compliance with order requests and acceptable paint quality.

Requirements
- Uses gauges, tools, manufacturing process sheet (MPS) methods and test equipment required to properly inspect or verify conformance of parts or products to drawing specifications.
- Uses knowledge of SPC and geometric tolerancing.
- Verbal and auditory capability are required.

- This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.

Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in quality inspection
- Experience using SPC methods and software
- Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to access production and technical resource data
- Experience using Microsoft Office Excel (other Office programs a plus)
- Associate degree in Industrial Technology or related field
- American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Auditor
