About the role

  • In this role, clinicians ensure that every patient receives continuous, individualized care.
  • Location/Schedule Remote in California - PT - M/W/F - 24hrs Key Responsibilities - Patient Engagement & Orientation: Conduct IOP orientations for new patients, introducing program structure, expectations, and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Care Coordination & Discharge Planning: Lead discharge planning beginning at admission, ensuring linkage to outpatient providers, community resources, and payor-approved step-down services.
  • Conduct collateral sessions with patients to support transition and continuity.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in weekly case conferences, contributing psychosocial and systems-level insights to treatment planning. Provide clinical support and advocacy to ensure seamless care for this patient population.
  • Outcomes & Quality: Track engagement, discharge, and readmission metrics; report trends to the Clinic IOP Director for quality-improvement initiatives. Implement corrective actions to improve retention, discharge quality, and community integration.
  • Safety & Crisis Support: Assist in updating safety plans and activating crisis escalation pathways as needed. Provide documentation that meets licensure, accreditation, and payor requirements.

  • Provide clinical support and advocacy to ensure seamless care for this patient population.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve retention, discharge quality, and community integration.
  • Indirect Patient Contact (IPC) & Compliance: Document collateral contacts, discharge coordination, and case management activities in compliance with CMS and commercial payor standards.
  • Group & Clinical Support: Facilitate psychotherapy, process and skills-based groups (e.g., DBT skills, relapse prevention).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Licensed practitioner.
  • Strong working knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mood, anxiety, trauma and dual diagnosis.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with acute psychiatric presentations, risk, and safety planning.
  • Experience providing case management in addition to holding a clinical case load of acute adults
  • Proven ability to thrive in milieu-based clinical environments.
  • Previous experience working in an IOP, PHP, crisis residential and/ or in patient psychiatric hospital settings.
  • Practice at the cutting edge of psychiatry-integrating psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and interventional treatments.
  • Contribute to the growth and innovation of specialty psychiatric programs in Orange County.

Skills

  • Facilitate psychotherapy, process and skills-based groups (e.g., DBT skills, relapse prevention).
  • Provide clinical coverage for group sessions or therapeutic check-ins during staff absences, within scope of licensure.

Compensation

  • The compensation for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually for 24 hours weekly as a part-time employee.
