About the role
- This role will be based in Bethesda, Maryland.
- This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities
- Profitably manage an existing portfolio of renewal business and underwrite new opportunities daily.
- Engage with our carrier partner to develop bespoke coverages and determine pricing for complex risks.
- Work with both in-house and outsourced support teams to service portfolio.
- On a limited basis attend industry trade shows and/or travel to meet with broker partners ( 2-3 trips annually )

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of underwriting experience or transferable work experience.
- P&C license required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Nice to have
- Industry designations such as RPLU, CPCU, or ARM are a plus.

- With annual revenue of over $27 billion and more than 95,000 colleagues, Marsh helps build the confidence to thrive through the power of perspective.
- It handles more than $4 billion USD in premium on behalf of numerous insurance carriers, through a large network of more than 20,000 active insurance agents and brokers.
- The applicable base salary range for this role is $65,300 to $139,000.
- In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
