Responsibilities
- This role ensures that innovation investments are rigorously evaluated, resourced, and executed to deliver transformative solutions in seed technology, aligned with long-term business goals and market needs.
Requirements
- Business financial acumen with expertise in portfolio prioritization frameworks, scenario planning and valuation modeling.
- Strong quantitative skills for investment analysis, proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to execute governance processes for portfolio analysis and prioritization, and familiarity with innovation metrics and maturity models.
- 7+ years in R&D, commercial, strategy, or portfolio roles.
- Experience with external partnerships, licensing, or M&A is highly valued.
- Deep understanding of risk assessment, pipeline optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams with experience driving cultural transformation and strategic alignment.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (M.S., MBA, or Ph.D. preferred) in life sciences, business, or engineering.
- Certifications in project management or portfolio management (e.g., PMP, PfMP) are a plus.
Skills
- Execute and maintain standardized R&D innovation valuation models.
- Support seed innovation management systems and planning cycles.
- Ensure consistency and simplification across resource costing, data inputs, and reporting.
- Champion innovation culture and organizational transformation.
- Mentor cross-functional teams and embed portfolio analysis principles across business units.
