About the role
- Brown Advisory is seeking a professional, energetic and detail-oriented individual to fill a Payroll Senior position within our Baltimore office.
- The Payroll Specialist reports to the Payroll Manager and will be responsible for processing US bi-weekly payroll, along with monthly payrolls in the UK, Germany, Japan, Singapore and UAE.
- The Payroll Specialist will ensure pay is processed on time and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures as necessary
- Maintain and organize payroll records in compliance with established retention policies
- Process, maintain and resolve all items related to Federal, State and local payroll taxes in a timely manner
- Review workflows and implement streamlining measures
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Positive attitude and ability to interact well with others
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Nice to have
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience with Payroll Software (Workday a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administrations, Human Resources or related field preferred
- Experience processing UK payroll a plus
- CPP Certification a plus
Compensation
- Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
- Prepare/finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll metric reports, annual compensation statements, and annual surveys
- Prepare annual workers compensation insurance analysis
