About the role
- Additional duties will include reviewing and editing voiceover recordings, as well as mixing finished audio files.
- The purpose of our audio description service is to make visual content accessible to a blind or low-vision audience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and utilize efficient research methods
- Employ audio editing and mixing techniques to create finalized audio description files
- Document progress of each job using in-house scheduling software
- Perform other related and assigned duties
- We are looking for a talented creative writer to create and edit audio description scripts for television programming and other video content.
Requirements
- Strong creative writing skills, including a keen ability to describe on-screen actions, settings, and characters
- Ability to adapt to a unique writing style and edit other individuals' scripts
- Follow detailed technical directions with the ability to learn various software programs
- 2- or 4-year degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, TV/Film Production, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in voiceover, acting, radio, or broadcasting
- Experience with audio editing and/or mixing software
- An advanced degree in Creative Writing

Compensation
- $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
- This is a non-exempt (hourly) position.
