Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative assessments, coordinate necessary testing, and assist with patient preparation.
- Deliver post-operative care, including monitoring for complications and managing drains or dressings.
- Maintain patient rooms, including restocking supplies and communicating supply needs to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting may be required during clinic hours.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally assist with positioning or transferring patients.
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly to assess patient needs and respond appropriately.
- Must be able to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks as necessary in a clinical environment.
Nice to have
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee is required.
- BLS certification required or must be obtained within three months of hire.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required
- with at least one year in a surgical, plastic surgery, dermatology, or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical and aesthetic procedures, wound care, and post-operative recovery processes.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of plastic surgery procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care, wound management, and patient education.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, sterile technique, and patient safety standards in a surgical clinic setting.
