University Housing Facilities is looking for an experienced Trades Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor to join our Team!
University Housing Facilities is looking for a Trades Supervisor who needs to have knowledge and experience in construction trades and experience in supervision to provide appropriate levels of service to residents and staff.
This position handles key coordination of multi-trade work in occupied residence halls and dining spaces, communicating regularly with residents and parents.

Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational plans and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with general construction and maintenance practices
Researches, sources, orders, receives, and distributes parts, materials, supplies, tools, and safety equipment to support staff needs.
Develops, directs, executes, and monitors operational work plans for a designated unit or affiliated projects to ensure compliance with plan regulations and timelines
In addition to living spaces, our operations support a wide range of programs and functions, including classrooms, office spaces, dining and culinary operations, marketplace venues, meeting rooms, and event spaces.
Advanced knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building automation systems.
Advanced knowledge of a variety of building science concepts.
Lead Safe Renovator certification and/or Asbestos Supervisor certification

The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial criminal background check to be eligible for employment and then every four years thereafter.
Oversees the required inspection of life safety equipment, responds to life safety equipment needs and organizes fire drill evacuations.
Required Qualifications:

Experience with asset life cycle planning, UW system procurement, and preventative maintenance setup.
Degree in industrial maintenance, construction management, or related field
EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
Proficiency in computer software for tracking work schedules, inventory and purchasing.
Proficiency with a CMMS
Experience working in a university setting
Experience working in a residential setting
High School Diploma Preferred minimum
