About the role

  • The Veterinary Sterile Processing Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgical services by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
  • This position is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical instruments, monitoring sterilization processes, maintaining sterilization equipment, and managing sterile supply inventory.

Responsibilities

  • The technician follows strict infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols to maintain a safe, organized, and sterile environment for veterinary surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in sterile processing required
  • Ability to master detailed information including instruments and protocols.
  • Certification (CRCST) from the HSPA or equivalent organization
  • Understands the importance and practice of sterility, good hygiene, and proper workflows.
