About the role
- The StudioBuilt team is comprised of experienced individuals from all trades, working to continuously improve the production process.
- They will conduct SPC monitoring of inspections done by the various work groups, compiling data for RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions) and by Training Personnel on Inspection Techniques and Processes.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and validate the Manufacturing Inspections.
- Create Quality Improvement suggestions and develop implementation plans.
- Create SOP's for various manufacturing and quality requirements.
Requirements
- The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing team constructs the customer required products.
- The Quality Technician will assist with obtaining required Quality Certifications such as ISO, QS and other pertinent certifications.
- The Quality Technician will be required to help with writing, auditing and maintaining SOP's within the Amherst Studio Build SOP Library.
- The Quality Technician will also be required to attend and lead Kaizen Events.
- 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including within industrial homes.
- Experience with the construction industry standards.
Nice to have
- Ability to learn various software such as MiTek, Reddit and similar.
- Strong analytical skills, to tie data to a Root Cause.
- Understanding of Lean/6Sigma principles learned through practical application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present to management.
- Provide Leadership and Guidance to Business Coordinators.
- Conduct Assessments of Hourly and Manufacturing Quality Inspection Techniques.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
