About the role
- We are currently seeking a Welder Fitter to join our Maintenance Department team at Stobie Open Pit in Sudbury, Ontario.
- This is a permanent on-site position working shift and supporting a 24-hour operation.
- This posting is for an existing position vacancy.
Requirements
- Relocation will be required for this role.
- Trade Certification in Metal Fabricator/Plate worker (437A Red Seal) is required and CWB Certified.
Nice to have
- Minimum 4 years of progressive industrial experience is preferred.
Skills
- Experience with oxy-fuel and plasma arc cutting.
- Knowledge of welding codes, and standards.
- Experience with rigging, and material handling.
- Knowledge of specific welding hazards to protect self and others is required.
- Experience with metal working equipment (shear, brake press, rolls, radial drill, and power saws).
- Ability to interpret and work off shop drawings in custom fabrication environment.
