About the role

  • Category Shopper Insight Manager - Function: Customer Development / Category & Shopper Insight - Scope: Local Canada - Location: Toronto - Corporate Headquarters (Hybrid) - Terms & Conditions: Full-time position.
  • JOB PURPOSE This role exists to turn shopper and category insights into growth opportunities, enabling stronger retailer partnerships, data-driven decision-making, and category growth across Canada.
  • Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,900-$127,300.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with retailers.
  • Develop and execute Category Growth Plans.
  • Create compelling selling stories and recommendations backed by data.
  • Lead category management initiatives and best practices.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive category growth and business results.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Account Management, Brand Management, or related areas.
  • Experience working with retailers or FMCG/manufacturing organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with NielsenIQ, MarketTrack, Homescan, LDIA or similar market research tools.
  • Knowledge of shelf/space management and planogram development.
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in Canada.
  • Travel within Toronto stores is required (less than 10% out of Toronto).

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
  • Travel required within Toronto stores (less than 10%).
  • No relocation assistance available.

Compensation

  • The pay range for this position is $84,900-$127,300.
  • Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
  • Support Joint Business Planning (JBP) and annual business planning processes.
