About the role

  • The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently to ensure the safety, efficiency, and operational continuity of our facilities.
  • The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the maintenance team to address a variety of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Follow and document preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and prevent unexpected failures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the maintenance team to address complex issues, provide technical expertise, and share best practices for efficient repairs.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry equipment/tools.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Qualifications (but not required):
  • Education: Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, or related field.

Skills

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders and maintenance logs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to facility maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and facility equipment.
  • Proficiency with sewing machines, auto cutter/spreaders, paint systems, welders, or machining equipment.
  • Certification of safety or environmental regulations related to facility maintenance.

Compensation
