About the role

This position schedules and coordinates multiple interdependent patient appointments across departments in accordance with clinically defined pathways, provider protocols, and timeframes.

Supports patients undergoing complex diagnostic, procedural, or treatment plans where sequencing, timing, and coordination are critical to care delivery.

Proficiency with EHR and scheduling systems required.
Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare scheduling, patient access, or care coordination experience required.
Strong working knowledge of healthcare workflows and medical terminology required.
Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Schedules multiple related appointments that must occur in a specific sequence and timeframe based on clinical requirements.
Interprets provider orders, treatment plans, and clinical workflows to ensure appointments are aligned with care protocols.

Experience in oncology, surgical services, interventional specialties, or other complex care environments preferred.

Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.
