About the role
- This position schedules and coordinates multiple interdependent patient appointments across departments in accordance with clinically defined pathways, provider protocols, and timeframes.

Responsibilities
- Supports patients undergoing complex diagnostic, procedural, or treatment plans where sequencing, timing, and coordination are critical to care delivery.
Requirements
- Proficiency with EHR and scheduling systems required.
- Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
- Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare scheduling, patient access, or care coordination experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare workflows and medical terminology required.
- Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Job Specific Duties:
- Schedules multiple related appointments that must occur in a specific sequence and timeframe based on clinical requirements.
- Interprets provider orders, treatment plans, and clinical workflows to ensure appointments are aligned with care protocols.
Nice to have
- Experience in oncology, surgical services, interventional specialties, or other complex care environments preferred.
Compensation
- Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.
