About the role

You'll be responsible for contributing to high-priority projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
This improves quality of care, reduces physician burden, and improves hospital finances.
We work closely with some of the top health systems in the country and are leading the change that healthcare - one of the largest and most inefficient industries in the world - needs.

Collaborate with product and design team members to design medium to large projects balancing speed to market, user experience, business goals, and technical architecture quality
Operate independently in building new features and capabilities, with support from senior engineers
Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase and tooling in your area of responsibility by proactive fixes and improvements, and through identifying and proposing projects to improve the overall backend codebase
Participate in operational activities supporting including on-call, monitoring, and production support

You'll collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product teams to bring new features and products to life.
Your primary objective will be to develop high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and align with the organization's business goals.

3+ years of professional experience with full stack software development in one or more of the following coding languages: Python, Typescript, Javascript or Go
Practical experience leveraging AI coding tools in day-to-day software development (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)

Experience with k8s, AWS services (serverless, etc), OpenAI services
Experience in a startup and/or high growth environments
Experience working on a mature, enterprise SaaS product
For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City metro area
We expect our Engineers to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We will provide relocation assistance to anyone who does not already reside in the NYC metro area
