Responsibilities
- Monitor and support clients during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
- Support clients in developing life skills and coping strategies to enhance their recovery.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and activities in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and client-centered care.
Requirements
- Ability to handle crises with professionalism and composure.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health or substance use disorder setting is preferred.
- Registration as a Drug and Alcohol Technician recognized by the State of California.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health and substance use disorder principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural competency, and client-centered care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
