- This role based in Detroit, MI, USA, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain's other sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead US FP&A and core operating mechanisms including budgets, forecasts and management reviews.
- Provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency, SG&A transparency, and margin performance; support resource allocation and headcount planning.
- Co-build the U.S. finance function with the Finance Director: define core processes (planning, reporting, governance), set up operating routines, and support team structure as the function scales.
- Act as a finance business partner to US leadership and global corporate development.
- Develop and maintain business cases supporting commercial deals and investment decisions.
- Lead or coordinate U.S. tax compliance (federal/state/local: income, sales, payroll, etc.) ensuring timely preparation and filing.
- Drive standardized approaches to US reporting and processes, financial systems integration (SAP, Onestream) and support global finance transformation initiatives.
