- This hands-on role is responsible for completing warranty requests, maintenance services, punch list items, and residential repair projects while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential maintenance, repair, and light construction work across luxury custom homes, remodeling projects, and homeowner service requests.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, materials used, project updates, and progress photos.
- Collaborate with project managers, team members, and subcontractors to coordinate work and ensure projects are completed efficiently and correctly.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Assist project teams with additional service, maintenance, and construction-related tasks to support successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company quality standards, local building codes, and safety requirements.
- Understanding of residential construction methods, building systems, maintenance practices, and warranty service processes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of residential construction, handyman, or maintenance experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Cullen's carpenters and craftsmen have over 100 years of experience in residential building and fine carpentry to help bring your project to life.
- Ability to diagnose issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and coordinate with licensed trade professionals when specialized work is required.
Nice to have
- Associate degree, trade school certificate, or apprenticeship preferred.
Skills
- Working knowledge of residential construction and general trades, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices, and technology for field documentation, communication, and project tracking.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
