About the role
- The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating seating arrangements to ensure a smooth and welcoming dining experience.
- This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and helps set the tone for exceptional customer service.
- Greets guests upon arrival and welcomes them to the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Provides accurate wait times and manages the waitlist.
- Manages reservations and seating assignments.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Assists wait staff as needed to support overall restaurant operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- Ability to monitor and manage the flow of the dining and bar areas.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Marlin Moon is proudly operated by The Harrison Group, a multi-property hospitality company with over 50 years of experience in Ocean City and surrounding coastal markets.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in person and over the phone.

Nice to have
- Previous experience as a host/hostess preferred.
- Must successfully complete restaurant training program.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- hospitality certification is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
