Responsibilities
- Monitor carrier portals, reconcile carrier statements, review aging invoices, and maintain accurate audit documentation to ensure timely invoice processing and payment accuracy.
- Support month-end accounting activities by responding to inquiries from accounting, operations, and leadership while ensuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Office-based work environment with frequent interaction between Accounting, Operations, and external carrier partners.
- Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to build productive working relationships with internal teams and external carrier partners.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in freight audit, transportation billing, logistics, accounts payable, or a related field.
- Required- Previous Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation experience.
- Experience should include transportation operations, billing, auditing, or logistics-not solely dock operations.
- Working knowledge of freight rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, carrier contracts, tariffs, rate tables, EDI transactions, and common shipping documentation.
Nice to have
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with MercuryGate TMS is strongly preferred.
- Experience with truckload, intermodal, parcel, or multimodal transportation is preferred.
- Experience creating reports, analyzing freight spend, and utilizing transportation management or enterprise accounting systems preferred.

Compensation
- $52k-$55k
