About the role

  • The Offshore Field Engineer acts as the primary technical link between onshore engineering teams and offshore execution crews.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, work packs, lift plans, cutting plans, and procedures; ensure correct implementation in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Offshore Technical Support & Execution Coordination Provide real-time engineering support to offshore supervisors, vessel crews, construction teams, and subsea contractors during execution.
  • Construction, Marine & Subsea Operations Support Support offshore activities such as heavy lifts, subsea retrievals, pipeline/umbilical operations, mechanical disconnections, and deck operations.
  • Support readiness by validating offshore documentation, permits, checklists, and equipment/crew preparedness.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities involving BSEE, BOEM, USCG, and environmental monitoring as applicable.
  • Record field redlines, measurements, photos, and evidence to support as-built documentation and close-out.
  • Support coordination between vessel command, construction leads, ROV teams, and subcontractor field engineers.
