Responsibilities
- You will build strong, cross‑disciplinary partnerships with regional business development directors, technical discipline leaders and teaming partners to deliver an integrated, client‑focused approach across architecture, engineering, planning, design, and construction services.
- STV's Transportation portfolio in Virginia Beach spans highway and bridge design, transit, construction engineering and inspection (CEI), and advisory services, supporting long‑standing clients such as the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and related Ports, Transit, and Rail agencies.
- You will lead and advance a high‑performing Transportation team of project managers, engineers, planners, and construction leaders, while defining and executing growth strategies that expand revenue, strengthen market presence, and reinforce STV's talent brand across the region.
- In this role, you will lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of your region, overseeing client relationships, business development, growth stragegy, market positioning, project delivery, operational efficiency, and the attraction, development and retention of top talent to ensure sustained business success.
- Partner with client service leaders to strengthen and expand key client relationships.
- Maintain senior‑level relationships with clients, teaming partners, industry leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Lead pursuit strategies, expand the client base, and grow service offerings across targeted markets.
- Monitor business performance, report results, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial and operational targets.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to support current and future business needs.
- Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline for critical roles.

- Serve as a visible leader and ambassador for STV with clients, industry organizations, and the broader community.
- Oversee local business operations, including client mix, project execution, staffing, resource planning, and overhead control.
- Ensure adherence to STV's policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assess individual and team performance, addressing gaps and recognizing exceptional contributions.
- BS or MS in Engineering (or related discipline).
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Planner ( AICP) registration in Virginia (additional state registrations preferred).
- Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Construction Managers, and Inspectors.
Compensation
- $170,537.75 - $194,900.29
- The listed pay range is STV's good-faith salary estimate for this position.
- Please note that the final salary offered for this position may be outside of this published range based on many factors, including but not limited to geography, education, experience, and/or certifications.
- Establish and execute business plans aligned with STV's strategic objectives and annual operating goals.
