About the role
- The Appliance Technician I is responsible for the overall maintenance of the kitchen's appliances.
- All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Responsibilities
- Service, repair, replace and maintain walk-in and reach-in freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, and milk coolers replacing components including motors, Freon, belts, thermometers, and adjust controls to accommodate specific types of Freon used in any particular appliance.
- Repair, descale, maintain, and replace dishwashers and electric or gas water and booster heaters.
- Maintain and repair electronic combo-ovens, convection and standard ovens, steam ovens, industrial mixers, choppers, steam kettles, tilting braisers, and steamers.
- Repair and maintain heating and refrigeration units on food carts, fabricates and mounts sneeze guards.
- Maintain records of materials and time spent performing various maintenance and repair jobs.
- Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
Requirements
- Occasional travel is required.
- Must be able to effectively understand and communicate to employees.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required and any combination equivalent to five (5) years of experience in the journey-level repairs of kitchen equipment.
- Must have knowledge of electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, electronic and refrigeration methods, current technology, principles and practices related to institutional kitchens.
- Kitchen maintenance and repair, including circuit tracing and troubleshooting skills related to electric motors, pumps, compressors, and electronic sensors knowledge required.
- Each position has varying minimum qualifications.
Skills
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Compensation
- $22.00 Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
