About the role

  • The Server Assistant is tasked with supporting the dining team in curating exceptional guest experiences.
  • This role blends efficiency, attention to detail, and impeccable service standards to ensure a seamless and elevated dining environment.
  • The Server Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the flow of service, anticipating guest needs, and upholding the luxury standards of the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly support servers by promptly clearing and resetting tables according to hotel standards and guest preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service station at all times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dining room layout, table assignments, and service flow to anticipate team needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hotel, country club, or fine dining environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixology, including beverage "call names" and standard recipes.
  • Familiarity with responsible alcohol service guidelines and food handling/safety procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow general instructions in standard situations.
  • High level of customer service orientation with the ability to engage and connect with a diverse guest population.
  • Positive, professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stoop, stand, reach, and frequently lift food and beverage items.

Nice to have

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
