Works directly with lenders under little supervision to underwrite credit requests as assigned.
Oversees the periodic loan review process to ensure all loans are reviewed appropriately and timely.
Reviews and approves loans within delegated authority and provides recommendations on credit requests that exceed individual lending authority.
Provides mentoring, training, advising, and assistance to junior underwriters during the underwriting process, including new and modification loan requests and periodic loan reviews.
Ensures compliance standards are met and maintained for the entire commercial loan portfolio.
Assists in the workflow management of the Commercial Loan Underwriting Team and provides efficiency recommendations.
Assists management in communicating and administering policies, procedures, and practices.
Acts as control point in the loan approval process to ensure adherence to Credit Union procedures, credit policies, and loan covenants.
