Responsibilities

  • Negotiates contractual provisions with potential partners.
  • Develops and provides reports or documentation needed to secure and maintain funding and grants.
  • Serve as the primary departmental contact for internal and external audits; manage meticulous reconciliation processes and maintain comprehensive documentation to safeguard against audit disallowances.
  • Act as the primary financial advisor to PIs, conducting regular portfolio reviews to analyze burn rates, manage non-personnel expenses, and ensure proper allocation of resources across multiple funding sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience

Skills

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.

Compensation

  • Direct the quarterly effort reporting and certification process for all research faculty and staff; proactively identify funding gaps and manage salary distributions to ensure 100% compliance with institutional and federal regulations.

Visa & Work Authorization

  • Provide high-level financial and administrative oversight for a diversified $35M+ portfolio, ensuring that all 40+ active awards adhere to federal Uniform Guidance and specific sponsor terms.
