Responsibilities

  • In addition to running day-to-day operations, the role will implement and maintain a customer-centric approach, identify cost-saving initiatives to improve financial performance, while ensuring continuous improvement and development of the team.
  • Coach and develop a team of Transportation Supervisors, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor KPIs, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve costs, productivity, and service levels.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers and key internal stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Support financial analyses, transportation sourcing initiatives (RFP/RFI), and cost optimization efforts.
  • Drive effective utilization of transportation systems TMS, including SAP TM integration, while promoting best practices.
  • Lead transportation transformation initiatives focused on process optimization, standardization, automation, and operational excellence to drive sustainable performance improvements.
  • Contribute to strategic business initiatives that support growth, improve operational effectiveness, and elevate customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position (transportation, operations management, supply chain, etc.) required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in transportation or a related field required.
  • Experience in executive personnel management an asset.
  • Experience using a work management system (TMS), ideally SAP TM.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required to collaborate with colleagues and partners across Canada.

Compensation

  • $100,900 to $126,100 (Base salary will be determined according to your academic background, experience, training, and position‑related competencies.)
