- Performs routine maintenance support of production equipment and machine building.
- Performs electrical, mechanical, carpentry, millwright, plumbing and pipefitting work associated with the installation of equipment.
- Assists in the building of new production equipment according to blueprints and schematics.
- An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.)
- Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment according to schedule determined by Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Maintenance Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Assists engineers or engineering technicians in the building of various FAB and MFG production equipment.
- Makes operational recommendations to engineers on functional design changes or adaptations to be made to production equipment.
- Creates/re-writes maintenance department procedures or work instructions and develops Preventative Maintenance (PM) checklists on production equipment.
Requirements
- 401(k) plan with a degree of employer matching
- Pulls, pre-stages parts, and develops parts list required to complete a PM.
- Manages maintenance department projects from start to finish including scheduling and planning jobs, assigning and directing personnel, obtaining required materials, budget control, and on time project completion.
- An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Basic knowledge of Word Processing (Microsoft Word)
- Basic knowledge of Spreadsheet Programs (Microsoft Excel)
- Expert knowledge of basic math to include:
- working with fractions and decimals, solving simple algebraic equations, creating and solving simple math word problems, and English to metric/metric to English conversions of numbers
- Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Solid knowledge of medium leadership and training - ability to direct personnel
- Solid knowledge of analytical and problem solving skills.
- Solid knowledge to communicate at most levels.
