The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to design, implement, and modernize enterprise applications using
  • microservices, event-driven architecture, and CI/CD best practices. This role requires a senior engineer who can lead containerization efforts, drive cloud onboarding initiatives, and help establish modern engineering standards across distributed systems and messaging platforms. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support scalable Java backend applications and microservices.
  • Lead modernization initiatives focused on cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
  • Drive adoption and implementation of Kafka-based messaging and streaming solutions.
  • Work hands-on with developers on application design, implementation, and engineering best practices.
  • Lead containerization and cloud onboarding of enterprise services and applications.
  • Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and release automation frameworks.
  • Promote and implement modern testing practices across development teams.
  • Support distributed messaging platforms and Redis cluster implementations.
  • Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Define and enforce event-driven design standards and integration patterns.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
  • Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks and DevOps practices.
  • Experience driving engineering modernization initiatives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Required Skills Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and distributed messaging systems.
  • Experience working with Redis Cluster.
