About the role

Responsibilities will include performing a variety of skilled tasks such as operating construction equipment, unloading deliveries, various mechanical and plumbing related tasks, and other assistance around the job site as necessary.

Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as grease fittings, change oil/filters, etc.
Maintain a clean and presentable construction site, taking pride in your work:

Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, gas monitors, etc.).
Overtime and extended shifts available and/or required from time to time.
The ideal candidate for this position will live in or close to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
4+ years of experience in the construction trades, with a strong preference for carpentry and mechanical/plumbing skills in commercial/industrial construction.
Strong understanding of various construction trades.
Must be skilled in the use of heavy construction machinery, hand and power tools.
Must be able to work from blueprints, drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams.

Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment
Fuel equipment
Strong knowledge and understanding of the safe use of various construction tools/equipment is desired.
Laying and connecting pipe of various materials and fitting types (water/gas, etc).
Assist in coming up with solutions related to construction challenges that may be presented on site.
General trash/debris cleanup
Maintain organization of tools and construction material
Willingness to learn new skills and construction trades, methods and techniques.
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.

$61,050.00 - $97,680.00 *This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
