Responsibilities

  • A career built on building zero defect homes, cost management, and adherence to schedules.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders (product owners, UX researchers, data team, QA team, project managers, cross team leads and designers) to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, security standards and best practices.
  • Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems.
  • Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design and plan integrations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans and test results.
  • Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing where appropriate.
  • Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery.
  • Manage and mentor software engineers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science and worked at a company for 5+ years with web technology stack and web standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or equivalent degree and worked at a company for 7+ years with web technology stack and web standards.
  • Proven track record for managing a team of developers to achieve company goals.
  • Proven track record for architecting, scaling and implementing complex technical solutions.
  • Proven track record of leadership in Agile environments, with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for mentoring and empowering team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Strong expertise (7+ years) in frontend and backend development, including both client-side and server-side technologies and patterns.
  • Knowledge of containerization software such as Docker.
  • Knowledge working with modern databases like mysql and postgres.
  • This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs.
