About the role

  • One of our boys is school-aged and independent; the other is a busy toddler full of energy and personality.
  • Grandma will live with us in the new home.
  • Both parents work demanding schedules in the medical field, often with opposite shifts and long hours.

Responsibilities

  • Manage linen rotation including bedding, sheets, and towels
  • Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area
  • Perform daily resets to keep common spaces functional and tidy (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas)
  • Maintain household organization systems and proactively suggest improvements, especially during the transition to new home
  • Manage seasonal swaps for décor and bedding
  • Set up and maintain a seasonal home maintenance calendar in the new house (HVAC filters, crawl space dehumidifier, etc.)
  • Manage running household supply lists and select subscriptions (including pet food and supplies)
  • Manage returns and dry cleaning drop-off and pickup along with other miscellaneous errands as requested
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Reliable personal transportation required
  • Ability to work comfortably alongside senior pets, including cats requiring daily medication management
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and navigate stairs
  • Serve as backup childcare support for younger child on an as-needed basis if the primary caregiver is unavailable (comfort with young children required; this is not a daily or even weekly expectation)

Nice to have

  • Fridays are preferred anchor day for laundry and closet work
  • Preference for candidates who can accommodate 4-5 more frequent/shorter shifts per week vs. longer shifts less days per week
  • Proactive and takes ownership.
  • You don't wait for a list of tasks to get started.
  • You notice when a closet needs reorganizing, when laundry needs attention, or when a household system could work better, and you take initiative to make it happen.
  • Independent and self-directed.
  • You are confident managing your time, prioritizing what matters most, and creating a productive day without needing constant direction.
  • You appreciate having the trust and autonomy to do your work well.

Compensation

  • $25-$30 per hour commensurate with experience
