About the role
- Inspect and process eggs for incubation, inspect and process chicks, maintain hatchery facility.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Performs the following sanitation activities: operate tray washer, remove eggshells and culled chicks; clean and sanitize setters, hatchers, egg rooms, and chick processing areas (40%)
- These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as: sort pedigree eggs by line and hen; clean hatchery office, break room and restrooms; fill in for egg facility during Team Member shortage; sanitize vehicles; perform simple math via assisting with egg orders; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy (10%)

Requirements
- Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
- Must regularly lift and/or move, up to 40 pounds to move items such as tray of eggs, etc; tools, such as wheeled buggy, may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 500 pounds such as egg buggies.
