About the role
- Valley Medical and Wellness is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Toxicology Supervisor to oversee technical operations within our CLIA-certified toxicology laboratory.
- The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership abilities and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop toxicology laboratory staff
- Lead quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities, including audits and corrective actions
- Support assay validation, method development, and process improvement initiatives
- Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and validation documentation
- Manage inventory, reagent utilization, and instrument maintenance/calibration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a CLIA-certified toxicology laboratory
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with LC/MS/MS in biological matrices, including troubleshooting
- Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and/or ISO standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must have adequate visual acuity for laboratory work
- Maintain bench proficiency and support high-throughput testing as needed
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Nice to have
- MLS/ML or ASCP certification strongly preferred
