About the role
- Keller Postman represents a broad array of clients in class and mass actions, individual arbitrations, and multidistrict litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts.
- Serving hundreds of thousands of clients in litigation and arbitration, we have prosecuted high-profile mass tort, antitrust, privacy, product liability, employment, and consumer-rights cases.
- Our firm also acts as plaintiffs' counsel in high-stakes public-enforcement actions.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support throughout various phases of cases, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Assist attorneys with the preparation, formatting, filing, and organization of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, correspondence, and exhibits using Microsoft Word, CM/ECF, and other systems.
- Assist with cite-checking legal documents for Bluebook compliance, Shepardizing authorities, and verifying quoted material and cited exhibits.
- Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, correspondence, and related materials in both hard copy and electronic case-management systems.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and document tracking using firm software and organizational systems.
- Coordinate with attorneys and internal departments to support efficient workflow and case management processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Keller Postman seeks a Paralegal I to support its practice of representing a broad array of clients as plaintiffs in complex litigation at the trial and appellate levels.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Tasks and projects must be executed with a high level of attention to detail.
Nice to have
- A minimum of 3 years related experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Westlaw preferred.
- Experience using the federal courts' CM/ECF system, PACER, and Bluebook is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- An ABA-approved Paralegal certificate is preferred.

- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic understanding of federal and state court rules and procedures, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel for up to one month at a time.
Compensation
- for the position includes an hourly base salary of $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience, plus a year-end, performance-based discretionary bonus and benefits.
