About the role

  • Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each semester.
  • For Fall 2025, the department seeks candidates who can teach on campus in Princess Anne, Maryland.
  • Occasionally the department might need instructors who can teach online.

Requirements

  • The normal requirement is a Master's degree in the field of instruction or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the field of instruction.
  • The successful candidate must be able to show acceptable documentation establishing the right to accept employment in the United States of America without employer sponsorship.
  • Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credits in the discipline. Exceptional candidates with a BA in the discipline and 5+ years of industry/professional experience in the discipline
  • may be considered for production-oriented courses.
  • At least one year of college teaching experience in the discipline as Instructor of Record
  • Experience teaching with a Learning Management System (such as Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and cultural competency skills and demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with colleagues, peers, and students.
  • Ability to create inclusive learning experiences that will help undergraduate students develop the skills of the discipline.
  • Willingness to implement the department's standardized syllabus as needed.
  • Physical Demands:
  • May require extended periods of standing, bending, sitting at desk.
