About the role
- The ideal candidate will have experience in soil remediation and contribute to the success and safety of our efforts.
- Participate in tailgate meetings and follow safety protocols.
- Control dust, direct traffic, and ensure site safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform soil remediation tasks and handle hazardous materials.
- Operate and maintain equipment, ensuring daily inspections.
- Maintain daily logs and assist in material handling.
- Maintain site cleanliness and secure excavation areas.
- Install and maintain SWPPP measures.
- Communicate with crew members and maintain truck logs.
- Perform excavation, backfill, compaction, and trench work.
- Lead Certification.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year in soil remediation or related field.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Required to walk and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. without aid.
- proper safety measures and PPE are provided and must be used.
Nice to have
- High School diploma or GED.
- 40-Hr HAZWOPER Certification or current 8-Hr Refresher.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of hazardous waste management and remediation procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good physical stamina for manual labor tasks.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of soil remediation techniques and equipment.
