About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own requirements and delivery for Calypso (Portfolio Management System) enhancements and client initiatives, end-to-end (requirements → build → SIT/UAT → production).
  • Lead working sessions to define requirements and align on solutions.
  • Production Support & Issue Resolution
  • Drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Maintain clear documentation (specs, test suites, onboarding materials).

Requirements

  • Apex operates a direct sourcing model and where agency assistance is required, the Talent Acquisition team will engage directly with our exclusive recruitment partners.
  • Our business is unique in its ability to reach globally, service locally and provide cross-jurisdictional services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in middle office, operations, or trade support within a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of middle office workflows and trade lifecycle (bookings, lifecycle events, settlements, reconciliations, risk, PnL).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA charter (or progress toward) is beneficial.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on Calypso experience strongly preferred
  • similar systems (Murex, Summit, Sophis, Aladdin) also considered.

Compensation

  • Salary ranges from CAD $80,000.00 - CAD $90,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual's performance.
