About the role

  • Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Imaging Department provides patient-centered nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • This role is essential in ensuring patient safety, procedural efficiency, and high-quality outcomes across a variety of imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain IV access; assist with or perform PICC line placement as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (CPR). required within one (1) month of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). required within orientation period
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). required within orientation period

Nice to have

  • Imaging, procedural, or outpatient nursing experience preferred
  • cardiac stress testing experience is a plus

  • Employment Requirements

Compensation

  • Commensurate with experience
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
  • Prepare and educate patients for procedures, including cardiac stress testing and biopsies
  • Assist physicians and radiology staff with procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and biopsies
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, responding promptly to changes
  • Administer medications, including IV contrast, in accordance with established protocols
