About the role
- - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- - 5 years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design construction environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to data center services and operations teams, defining electrical system design requirements for multiple data center projects from inception to completion.
- Develop, implement, and manage the electrical designs at the site level, starting from the basis of design through to the issuance of construction documents for new builds, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.
- Collaborate effectively with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to respond to site-specific engineering Requests for Information (RFI) and ensure alignment between Google's requirements and the overall design.
- Work closely with the core engineering team to provide site-specific requirements during the development of the Basis of Design (BOD) and coordinate system-level schematics with the EOR.
- Own and manage site-level power system issues during projects execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve challenges effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in data center or mission-critical facility design construction environments.
- 5 years of experience with data center or mission-critical facilities and their electrical infrastructure.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time as required.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or other related fields.
- Professional engineering license.
- Experience and knowledge in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems from High Voltage (HV) substation to final circuits.
- Expertise in electrical systems analysis.

Compensation
- US: $144000 - $209000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
