About the role

Responsibilities
- Coordinate priorities with manufacturing engineers, planners, and quality to meet build plans and promise dates.
- Proactively identify and remove blockers (e.g., nonconformances, stop-work, missing tools/fixtures, document errors).
- Perform comprehensive quality control activities including visual inspections, surface finish evaluations, scrap hardware, and complex borescope operations to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking systems for AM components
- Support non-conformance reporting and corrective action processes
- Collaborate with engineering teams on design feedback and manufacturability assessments
- We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.
- This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
- 1-3+ years leading technicians or machinists on off-shift operations (C/D or equivalent), or in a lead/supervisor capacity.

Requirements
- Provide technical support for production issues and troubleshooting Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T
- experience with in-process inspection and documentation.
- Export Control Regulations Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Nice to have
- Experience with metal AM materials/processes
- Prior ownership of cell metrics (throughput, FPY, scrap/rework, cycle time, OTD) with demonstrated improvements.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems.
- Lean/continuous improvement experience (5S, standard work, kaizen, visual management).
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
- Working knowledge of EDMs, bandsaws, and basic machining practices
- familiarity with tensile specimen preparation is a plus.
Compensation
- Range for: WA applicants is $113,158.00 - $158,420.85 Other site ranges may differ Culture Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
- Stock Options for all regular employees (working at least 20 hours/week) Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
