  • Job Purpose & Scope The Slitter Operator is responsible for all aspects of setup, operation and quality control of the large and small slitter machines in the Chicago Plant.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setups for knives and over/under arms accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Perform QC checks on all in coming full coils, and slit coils
  • Ready to help build a better future for generations to come?
  • They will be expected to setup knives/spacers, over and under arms, operate overhead crane, slit aluminum and steel, and perform quality checks in accordance with standard procedures and expectations.
  • Operate the slitter to support both Grid, Metal Ceilings, and engineering seeds:

Requirements

  • The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on their feet for 8 hours straight.
  • At Least 1-2 years experience in a factory setting, operating slitter machinery.
  • Ability to be forklift certified
  • This position requires the ability to self-manage time, prioritize orders, and pay close attention to detail.
  • The position requires the employee to lift and move coils with an overhead crane. The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on their feet for 8 hours straight.

  • Salary: $25/hour to $27/hour
