Responsibilities

  • Deliver insightful research
  • Alongside the Data Center team, contribute to and create high quality research in the form of reports, trackers, forecasts, and presentations.
  • Develop and test hypotheses that challenge existing beliefs within a market to provide unique insight.
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Over time, and as your career progresses at Omdia and Informa TechTarget, maintain and extend your network of client relationships.
  • Build and manage ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Support sales, marketing, product management, and PR teams.
  • Work closely with the Practice Leader and Research Directors to drive the direction and strategy of the team.
  • Through the understanding of client needs based on senior-level relationships, develop a customer-based point of view for new products and advisory services.
  • Quantitative research, with the ability to build, maintain, and enhance market forecasts and trackers, and present complex concepts and trends from data in a compelling manner.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in the data center ecosystem, either as an industry analyst or in the wider ecosystem.
  • Solid technical understanding and insight into the data center ecosystem, and the ability to quickly form credible, distinctive, compelling, and original opinions on how aspects of these will evolve, and why.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas.
  • The ability to quickly and coherently identify and communicate critical issues impacting the commercial performance of Omdia's vendor clients across the data center ecosystem.
  • Experience of working with sales and marketing teams to identify and successfully capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • A proven track record of managing a workload to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
